  • Keller Adv

This site from Italian agency, Keller Adv, adds some nice texture with the wood background and fabric 'tag' icon that contrasts well with the flatter layout of the content. I have to admit the line drawings at the top creep me out a bit. And, to be learned from their ... More

  • Design Snips

This is a twist on the gallery site concept. The type and layout is topnotch and most of the 'snips' are interesting, too.

  • Marathon Consulting

This website has some interesting things going on. From its serif to sans-serif type usage to the muted color scheme to the grid layout beneath it all, it engages.

  • Evoke

I'm still not 100% sure of what evoke really is, but in the spirit of providing inspiration at the same time as displaying a good looking dark-background site (which personally I find it hard to work with a dark/black background) this one should hopefully wet your whistle.

  • Mutado

This is a very different website design. From the color scheme to aspect ratio of the pictures it's top quality, and it'll make you do a double take with its orginality.

  • GOOD Magazine

Hopefully you can find inspiration from both the design and content of this online magazine. It is well crafted and makes good use of its typographic selections. Very straightforward and rewarding to both look at and read.

  • Wallop | 9 Mile Studio

Reminds me of the Swiss School of Design, very grid based and uses subtle shifts in color to determine what's more important to take in. Very good use of a dark background and is one of those sites where less is truly more.

  • Rikcat Industries

This is a beautiful site. Great type choices. All black except for the orange rollovers is a nice touch.

  • Conde Nast Portfolio

This is the "beta" version of this site. Why can't people just launch sites? If something is broken, I'm not going to forgive them just because of that orange "beta" link. Nonetheless, this a nice site, minus a couple drawbacks, like the dropdown navigation and strange anti-aliasing on the main ... More

  • Rochester City Newspaper

I don't often like these newspaper websites' design. This one seems to be able to keep it simple. The ads aren't too overpowering and the sections are well thought out and methodical.
