Tripping Words
Submitted by Josh Star, @trippingwords. Designer & Developer. Tripping Words is a uniquely designed blog that features an array of opinions on web and print design philosophy. The site was handcoded from scratch and runs on ExpressionEngine. Generally speaking this design is all over the place. I mean that there's so much ... More -
Soireé Studios
Submitted by Matt Bango, @mattbango. Designer & Developer. Simple sight focusing on simplicity and typography. How about that a photography site without the lightbox script... This site is impeccable, it's simple and clean utilizes a dark/black background well and generally makes the work look very high class. I love sites like ... More -
pixelbleed.net
Submitted by Ryan O'Rourke, @ryorourke. Designer & Developer. This site has a sort of nouveau sci-fi futuristic feel to me. I love the swooping shapes contrasted against the pixel-ish squares in the logotype. There's also tons of detail work that's clearly lovingly gone into this site design, I always love discovering ... pocketsmith.com
At first glance this site is just another "web app" looking site design, but once you spend a little time on it you find it's one of the better ones out there. There's some nice little UX interactions to keep you engaged, plenty of well laid out content and some ... More -
atomiccartoons.com
This is largely a single page, scrolly type website layout, but it's propped up with some of the coolest illustration work i've seen in a while. The illustration is really the point here, since it's what they do, so it's natural that it's front and center. It's clever and ... More -

This is a very well done, tightly worked up website. From top to bottom there's not a detail I noticed out of place. ... More -

Sheriar Designs
Submitted by Mani Sheriar, Designer & Developer. I just relaunched my site with a new design and I'm super excited! (to see the crappy outdated old design see http://www.manisheriar.com/blog). This has been a loooooong time coming and I'm just anxious to share my hard work! Thanks! :) Pretty unique looking design. It's simple ... More -
brianhoff.net
I love the simple typographical statement of this design. The large header type is beautiful and the layout and simple accent shapes make this design come together. It's a little odd that the portfolio goes to another site like it does, but I suppose it works. -
johnnydoes.nl
Submitted by @johnny_does, Designer. With minimal design a very clear and strong portfolio showroom. No distracting elements and focus on the artwork. Besides that the user is served with multiple entrees of aspects of the artwork. The choice can be made on base of interest. I really like the separation of the ... More
