There is heavy use of various colors that for some reason seem to work on this design. Honestly, for a moment I was thinking that someone put the wrong mushrooms on my pizza, that’s how many colors I see.
But once you get past the awkward colors, the design is truly great. Very different from what I have seen in the past.
What I dislike:
Like I said, I’m not tripping on acid, yet I still see a billion colors.

About the “tripping colors”… I just wanted to reinforce the sections idea… each of they have very different information.
Did you try out the “elastic layout” (not fixed nor fluid)? It’s really great for visual impaired people ;)

Yeah.. i really like the idea of a different color scheme for each section. Seperates the whole site into a series of microsites and reinforces the you are here navigation concept.
I really like the design and the animated bullet when you hover over the nav links.
