1976 Design

When one of the blogs that you envy so much for its remarkable design, redesigns, it’s a great thing. When that blog redesigns for the better, it is a fantastic thing. How can you take an already seemingly perfect blog, and take it to a whole other level of perfection?
I have no idea, but that’s what Dunstan Orchard managed to do with 1976 Design’s blog.
What I like:
Everything is utilized so very well in this site, as it had been before the redesign. However the thing that sticks out to me the most are the new slide out weather menu, and the new style navigation tabs. Harmonious to say the least.
As usual, the live weather header image makes some of us who claim to have are creative and innovative moments want to reconsider what passes as an idea.
What I don’t like:
Big, everything is so big. The site views perfectly in everything that is 1024×768 or larger, but horizontal scrollbars will appear anything smaller than that. Even the font sizes are big. Typically I use the mouse wheel to make the text larger, however in this case I took it down a couple.
