Alterform
![]()
Alterform is a great example that with some time and work, CSS-based layouts don’t have to be the typical 2 or 3 columns with a drop shadow. In fact, they can look a lot different than you might expect. Alterform makes heavy use of graphics inside the stylesheet, giving the design that classic, elegant and aged look.

“I do think Im smarter than a lot of people, just like Im taller than a lot of people. Doesnt mean I think Im better. Just means my brain has been wired to work at an efficient pace, and store more information. ”
That really should be removed from your FAQ; it comes off as arrogant.
I like the site a bunch, but in Safari the textbox has horizontal scroll-bars.
I like the design, but overall I don’t like the site.
There is some extra markup, it loads very slow, readability issues, the footer you can barely read.
I don’t like the scrollbars. The content should flow, but instead you have to go hunting for it.
All graphics, Not user friendly, not impressive, sorry.
Thanks for the mention guys, and thanks for the comments, everyone.
To note, the thing in the FAQ is to just mean that intelligence and wisdom aren’t always the same thing. It wasnt meant arrogant, but to each his own, I guess…
To Skipp, thanks for the positive comments, and the constructive criticism.
Thanks for the heads up Jeff, my copy of Safari isnt pulling up a scrollbar, but Ill recheck it again
