artypapers is just highly unexpected. Never in my wildest dreams would I think to myself a color palette like this would work; without not seeing this design. Just one of the more creative designs with the weirdest (yet beautiful) use of color I’ve seen in a long time.

I thought I was viewing two frames each showing a different website at first. Not sure the two sides really work together. I like the colours and it is a pretty brave design but overall it just doesn’t work as a cohesive design.
I concur with Paul. What I was trying for and what I actually created are two entirely different things — but that’s why it’s an experimental personal site, I took a risk and it didn’t quite work out. In fact, just this weekend I was looking at ways to redesign it to make it less jarring visually.
I know I won’t make any friends by saying so, but in all honesty, I’m kinda surprised it was listed here, because the site is in such an incomplete state.
Hmmm. Not sure if I agree with the colour scheme. on my flat panel monitor I’m severely striggling to make out all the different browns and would probably recommend using some slightly different shades in order to add more contrast (not that any more’s needed with that green!
) )
I prefer the right side of the website to the left and like the bright, vibrant colours, but agree that they just don’t mix that well. It’s certainly something experimental, and as you say with is being in an incomplete state, I’m sure it’ll meld together much more smoothly very soon.

This color scheme may be different, but that doesn’t mean it should be used. Very hard to read….
Too much spaces for right side column, because of that main side in left, remain narrow.
Well… I don’t know why but I like it. Yeah, it is a bit difficult to read the top links (small ones), but overal looks good…
