I was going to start this post by exclaiming something along the lines of:
‘Thank god someone’s getting the idea, that all websites don’t have to conform to a clean Swiss style’
Not that there’s anything wrong with clean straight lines and block colours, it’s just that because of how the web works, it’s very easy to forget to use the screen as a canvas, rather than be a slave to the code. Then I went to the profile page and read that the gentlemen behind Designchuchi are in fact based in Switzerland and Germany. D’oh.
Designchuchi sports an unorthodox layout which only enhances the site’s appeal and gives it a lot of character, something that many sites seem to lack. Innovation in breaking away from the rigid constraints of a horizontal menu, and straight lines seems to be lacking on the internet-scape.
I really love the different fruits that show up at the top of the page for each different kind of page visited, while the ducktape is used to great effect throughout the design.
One aspect of the design that does stand out is the colour palette. Subtle yet vibrant at the same time. A very good example of how colours can define the attitude of a site.

Holy batman,
Nice work bro, it’s fukkin gorgeous man. I like it.
Have a nice day ya’ll,
Simon
That is hot stuff, I love how the w3c buttons are just hidden underneath. I wish the URL’s were a bit more semantic but I’m just being picky. Excellent!
I love this, it is my favourate website that I’ve seen this month.
Bravo!
All I can say is “WOW!”
Good design. I saw several designs with same theme but this one is perfect.
It’s very interesting.
Good work
