By a significant margin in Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down, this resource site for Joomla and Mambo development enters the Gallery today. Based in , Dotflare provides a variety of downloads, articles and other useful information for users. I can’t really comment too much on the content, since I only speak nür ein bischen Deutsche, but the style at least clearly seems to have many fans.

  1. I liked this site because it’s very clean and super simple to navigate. It also looks like it’s skinned in Joomla which is not easy to achieve and get a unique look at the same time.

I like the little gradients and the the use of a decent sized font with good line height, although possibly a sans serif font would probably have worked better with a clean edged style like this.

  2. this is a very interesting site to add to Unmatched Style. Clean, solid and attractive… Very interesting articles and good stuff for download.

It’s a great example of CSS design based on mambo/joomla.

  3. Hi there,

Sorry I’ve not posted any reviews lately, I’ve been completely snowed under this last week or two so it’s nice to show my face around these parts again ;o)

    Right then here we go:

Hmmm. Sorry Shane - but maybe the thumbs up / thumbs down rating doesn’t always work?! I’m not going to be blatantly critical with no constructiveness, but I’m afraid I don’t see anything here that merits an appearance in a showcase gallery? Sorry to be so negative.

It just seems a very basic site to me. If you were to install Wordpress, add a new header and apply a background image - this is what you would end up with. I’m really trying here - but I’m afraid there isn’t anything that I can even desperately grasp onto to provide some positivity to my review.

And with that I think I better leave it here before it gets any worse…

    Sorry :o(

  4. Maybe it doesn’t always work? That’s definitely a possibility. You and Harmony usually agree, though, so it’s interesting that you guys don’t on this one. It’s nice to see a difference of opinion!

It is possible to have a negative comment that’s not rude. Thanks for proving that, Chris.
