Golden Pride Choir

Golden Pride Children’s Choir to me is on the same lines as The Traveling Guys, design-wise. It uses an approach to design that you don’t see to often, yet, when you see it done right you wish you would see it more often. Everything is done nicely on this page.
The background which fits nicely on this page uses bold, vibrant colors and consist of clouds, mountains and trees. It then fades in to soil leaving the content of the page to be displayed on a single solid color. This gives the site a lot of excitement at the top of the page, however does not interfere with a user trying to read the content of the page.
The navigation utilizes drop-down menus for certain sections of the navigation, such as the “About” section. Typically I am not a big fan of drop-down menu’s on pages, but this one was implemented well. Speaking of the navigation — even the texture and effect of the navigation menu, especially during the hover state, is beautiful with its subtle plastic feel.
I typically don’t vote here on Unmatched Style myself, but I might be forced to go ahead and give this one a 9 or a 10. This is truly unique and terrific work.

right on brother man from the motherland. this site is very rich in color, very similar to the traveling brothers. also, i really love a site that seems to have a cause, for the good.
Beautiful work!
Btw, are you creating this site, and then reviewing it, Freckle Creative?
Nice overall, shame about the footer and wordspacing.
Thanks for the comments guys, always welcome. I’ll have a go at playing with the footer/word spacing.
luxuryluke: We submitted the site, but it was reviewed by Ryan @ unmatchedstyle. It does look confusing though
very nice.well done!
Man this site would be awesome, BUT!! The typography kills me. The outer glow and gradients are not necessary. The site would be much better if these were eliminated. But overall it is great. Just fix the type and the site is awesome.
