Inkoherence

Inkoherence

Boy, Inkoherence is intriguing (not the least of which because I can’t read Spanish). Take a look, and you’ll know what I mean.

This site pulls off the fixed-background-scrolling-content trick better than any site I think I’ve seen yet. I’ve seen lots of sites try, but they all end up being too clever for their own good. This site, on the other hand, makes it work. It also has a depth to the site that you don’t see very often.

This design definitely isn’t for everyone, but I think it may deserve a place in the Gallery. Your comments decide.

That’s what I get for trying to interpret Spanish :) All fixed now!

The designer made the mistake of assuming a certain browser window size! I am using Firefox on PC on a 1024×768 resolution with a few extra toolbars (bookmarks and web developer toolbar) and the tags on the bottom left of the background flow off the screen with no possible way of seeing them all.

I know it. That’s why I put the “+” at the top of the tags. So, by clicking the “+” link, you can access to all the tags.
May be it isn’t the best usuability solution but is a practical solution to mantain the design and the singularity of a fixed backgroudn like that.

    Thanks.

    Sorry for my english.

Well, this is definitely different website.

    The colors are good.
The overall feeling of the size is somewhat new for me. I love 700px centered layouts and that’s my curse…
When there’s BIG elements on the website it makes me feel bad, don’t know if it’s some kind of mental disorder or what? :P just kidding.

There are things that the author should fix/change. For example, when you resize window there are many elements that break and doesn’t look good.

I didn’t look at the code and css, but I think changes should be easy.

A very different design and one that looks awesome on larger monitors (on a 24″ iMac myself).
    Enhorabuena!
