Just Dan
Just Dan has my backing for several reasons. Very simplistic reasoning behind this one, it is nice to see a left-justified layout every once in a while. It seems many got into this ideology that to have a nice looking design that it must be centered. Just Dan proves that you can have a good looking design and have it left aligned.
Second off, the font and color choices are great for the design used. This is one of those designs that I look at and after seeing it I couldn’t imagine having a different color where the green is, or the blue or a different font for the headers. It just comes together very nicely.

I gotto say there’s nothing special about it.
The color scheme is nice, but the site itself is boring.
The shadows are not well done.

Don’t listen to Skipp, Daniel. He is a butthead. I like the site…. It’s not too much, not too little. Easy on the eyes. Nice and balanced in both color and form.
This site is a mixed bag. It’s simple but simple can be good. The overall look and the colors are very nice. When digging a little bit deeper however some parts have an unpolished look, especially the totally unstyled comment form. Links and typography could use some love as well.
This is the kind of site that could be really great if there would be some more eye on the details.

I don’t think it’s a simple design. The detailing on the borders (that faux page look) and the clean logo design is really nice.
The 4.1 given this site is definitely undeserved. It’s very nice, clean, unfussy, and eye pleasing– may not be *the best* but still loads better than a majority of sites out there.
