I am absolutely loving the slideout menus. I love the abstract imagery at the top, it seems a lot of people are afraid to go this way nowadays, yet the designer showed it can still be pulled off.
When first looking at it I made the assumption this was a table heavy site, and the only tables used were for the calendar, so kudos there as well.
What I dislike:
I don’t really like the grid background within the content. Nor do I care for the jet black text, as I usually say, a dark grey would have been the optimal color for the content section.
Thanks fo the comments. Actually the site is 4 years old, so I wasn’t really pulling off the abstract imagery today, I’ve just been too busy to update it. I guess it proves that some design can age well :)
With what I know now, the code could also be much simpler than when I built it. But that’s for the next version.
