Satsu Design

Satsu Design is a [tag]website design company[/tag] based in the [tag]UK[/tag]. (They also do print and branding.)

Their site didn’t score quite high enough in TU/TD to earn a place in the Gallery, but I decided to let it in simply because it is the best-looking example of the ultra-skinny design that I’ve ever seen — in fact, it may be the only site of this style that I’ve actually liked.

I see sites trying this all the time, and none seem to pull it off. It’s trendy, but it’s simply not functional in the vast majority of cases. Users have their browsers wider for a reason, and you have too much content to squeeze into that tiny space whether you believe it or not.

That said, Satsu does it I think. It could definitely be better, but they took something very difficult to do and pulled it off.
