unmatched blog

unmatched blog

Is it ethical to post one of your own works, most likely not, but I am going to do it anyway. So how am I going to make a biased review of one of my own sites, it’ll be hard; I will go harder on myself than I’ve ever went on anyone else.

What I like:

I like the setup that I of the site, I like the narrower sidebar since it wasn’t going to contain a whole lot of content as opposed to other blogs.

I do like the colors, the colors in my opinion are great. And the fonts and spacing are great.

What I dislike:

Now for the bad, and I can find a lot of it.

It breaks in quite a few older browsers, more than I usually let myself get away with.

I hate the fact that I recycled colors a lot with this layout (ie. background = link color, header color = link hover color).

I absolutely hate the forms on the site (search and comments), I just couldn’t get them perfect in my mind, so I settled for the best looking that I could come up with. But I still don’t like them.

I was happy with what I came up with, but I still think that it could use a whole lot more tweaking and perfecting to be worthy of listing here. But hey, I run unmatched style, so I can do this :-P

The top of the white content section (where the heading sits) is off by 1px at 1024×768 (Win/IE6). In fact, resizing the screen it moves back and forth.
