Congratulations to Sam Brown of Massive Blue for taking the top spot in the Nursing Homes.com design contest. Sam’s entry came in ahead of all the others for coming the closest to achieving all the requirements for the design:

Contest Results

Ultimately, none of the four entries won the $1,500 prize because each was missing a critical piece of the requirements. There are many possible reasons why that is, and I think it’s different for each entrant, but at the end of the day I think one thing it highlights is the importance of a good back-and-forth discussion between the client and the designer during the entire process for a project like this with any sort of unique requirements.
