unmatched <style> goes 2.0!

After quite a bit of work in the last day of implementing the new design with the old content, it is now ready for you. Version 2.0 is for the most part no more than a total redesign of the site. I personally felt that there were some shortcomings in the old design that needed to be addressed, and that’s what I did with this.

Other than that you will notice that you now have access to thumbnails in the Gallery Feed, which I know many of you wanted. I have also removed the Live Preview on the comments because I know it wasn’t working 100% on certain platforms and browsers, and causing problems on older machines.

I would like to mention that David over at Stylegala has just released version 2 of his site as well, and it leaves my version 2 look more like version 0.5. Anyhow, there will be another redesign coming in the near (but distant at the same time future), somewhere in January of 2005. The next version is going to be a total overhaul of what is currently here, and many, many, many features are going to be added to it.

I would mention these features but I wish them to remain a surprise, and I some of them are very creative and don’t want someone else implementing them before I get the chance to.

Oh, the news at the top goes away after 3 days of being there (regardless whether anyone posts or not) so it won’t bother you all the time. Now I’d like to say, congratulations:

I would like to appologize to those who hit the site during the transition, I know there was a couple of problems that I had to iron out real quick, but I think I manged to get them all.

Just one little thing: Istead of not having word-spacing between the words in the menu, use word-spacing: 0 in CSS. It looks a lot better for those which have deactivated their stylesheets. :)
