Version 2.0: Soon!

Posted on November 1st, 2004 by Shane

I have not forgotten about this site, which some may belive by the recent drop of entries on this site. I have been working on version 2.0 of this site, and within the last few days have made a tremendous amount of progress.

So what is there to expect with the second version? Quite a bit. I will not claim to be working miracles and totally reinventing the gallery style site, in fact there are very few content additions and improvements. But there will be a slew of differences. These include:

  • 100% New Design
  • A logo (it’s not much but now we have something to be recognized by)
  • Updating from MovableType 2.6x to 3.1x
  • 4 thumbnails per page, but you gain images in RSS feeds

There are a couple more features that I am contemplating implementing, because I had mentioned them to Paul when he was going to revamp the Vault. But they have since been implemented on the vault and elsewhere, and I’m not positive if I want to do it myself.

You most likely however will see something similar to the Vault’s “Noteworthy”, and Stylegala’s “Worth a Visit.” Resources sections and other things I am considering are still up for grabs. The new version should be ready by the middle or end of this week.

Your job now is to tell me what you want to see. This is short notice, I know, but if someone comes up with a fantastic idea, I will cram to get that implemented. Thank you in advance for your suggestions, and your patience while I have been slacking on content. (I do have submissions, don’t worry, they’re coming soon.)
