The Dalit Freedom Network is a philanthropic organization dedicated to abolishing caste systems for culturally and socially disenfranchised peoples of India. From their website:

Like a great many other institutions in our society, philanthropic organizations seem to lack a sense of good design when it comes to their websites. That’s not the case with DFN. Jesse at 31Three (the man behind the Expression Engine redesign) collaborated with Drew Warkentin to create this beauty of a site.
DFN’s strongest points are the details. Once again, we see a designer put in just a little extra flavor to top off an already great layout and architecture. The colors and the graphical backgrounds add to the site, making it appear more authentic. Just the right amount of imagery and a color scheme that clicks with those cultural images makes for a more effective design.
An added bonus to the DFN site is the fact that the print version is almost identical in every way (save for browser eliminated background pictures) to the screen version. The three-column design is preserved and no content is altered in either version. That’s a big thumbs up for Jesse and DFN in my book.
I feel that the only way to eradicae untouchability in India for those who had been suppressed for centuries must accept the god and the religion which accept them as Human Beings. I donot understand why Buddhisn which has been advocated by Dr.Ambedkar was not followed by the so called untouchables. When i discuss this with international friends belng to our neighboring countries were asking the same question. Why not embrace other religion like Buddhism??????
